Rockettheme’s Outstanding Templates for Joomla
Posted on 22.06.2009
Recently, I have had a few people ask me how to get Joomla templates to match logo/brand colours? And how do I get drop-down menu’s working so quickly? Well the answers is simple, use Rockettheme. In my opinion, they are one of the top template development shops for Joomla. For as little as $50 a year, you can get access to their complete library of Joomla templates which, quite frankly, are heads above the competition.
Not only do these templates just look great, but they come with an array of built-in features that allow you to manipulate the functionality as well as the appearance of your site. Their more recent templates come with a “Color Chooser” that lets you change the colors of the template header, footer, body, text, links, hover, and more colors. This feature alone has me sold, but then they also offer an array of functions including in-template menu configuration and an array of content display modules. I’d also like to emphasize that their support forum is one of the best in the biz. I’ve searched through and posted many topics and I’m yet to get stuck on a template related issue that couldn’t be resolved. My only gripe is that some of their built-in functionality has some minor javascript conflicts with various 3rd party extensions. I’ve noticed the finger pointing that occurs between template developers and extension developers so I won’t pick sides, but just be aware that in open-source software, you can get conflicts like this that you need to resolve on your own. And be sure that you’re developing in Joomla 1.5 because they’ve stopped supporting 1.0.
So check out Rockettheme. Blast off!
